Mission
Mission of the School of Humanities is derived from the mission of the UG: firstly, implementing modern principles of humanitarian sciences and training the students for achieving professional skills necessary in the spheres of Culture and Educational systems, art criticism, cultural researches both in cultural and social anthropology, modern methods of archeology, English and German languages – thus to make them competitive in local/international labor market.
Goals
The goals of the School derive from its mission and is aimed at implementing all necessary modern methods of teaching.
In particular:

To define priorities and post-priorities of teaching and scientific research;

To shape out the indicators of implementing the defined priorities;

To supply the educational process with modern, high professional academic staff;

To facilitate maximum self-realization of the lecturers and students;

To study the demands of free labor market and define professional criteria according these data;

To care for bringing up the competitive specialists from the point of view of their professionalism.

Establishing modern-standard Language Centers, competent to award international certificates (in duo with Munster University);

Inviting foreign specialists to supervise the Masters and Doctoral Programs and the internship of Master and Doctorate students in other countries;

Seeking for funds to organize both local and international scientific conferences;

Establishing Black Sea and Caucasus Region Research Center to shape out individual profile of the researches and to activate our contacts with foreign scholars.
