Awareness of the latest news related to Mathematics and Informatics is essential for professionals from all disciplines, since significant achievements in numerous natural and social science areas have been made based on the mathematical modeling of real objects. For this purpose, the School of Mathematics and Informatics offers classes in Statistics, Mathematics and Informatics for various specialties taught at the University.

The success of our School owes a lot to the highly qualified professors actively involved in scientific activities; regularly taking part in international conferences and symposia and wining national and international scientific grant competitions. It is the aspiration of the academic staff of the School to engage future professionals – the students in the scientific efforts they have undertaken. Participation of the students in various research projects contributes a lot to the deepening their knowledge and helps them develop the skills necessary to use mathematical and IT methods to solve real problems. The fundamental knowledge gained at the University of Georgia will help our Bachelor's program graduates continue their studies on Masters and doctoral levels in higher educational institutions.

The best students of the School will stand the chance of participating in exchange programs in the USA (the University of Scranton).
