Registration for the Academic Year

Registration for a Course or a Semester implies:

• Taking all or part of the courses offered during a semester
• Paying the tuition fee according to the semester and the number of courses registered for
• Registration procedure takes place in the Office of the Master’s Program Manager
• Registration must be accomplished in due time for everyone; the new and the old students and also those students who for any reason want to take an academic semester or a year:

Without registration student will be expelled from the University and accordingly he/she can not take an academic year. Those students who will take an academic year and money which they already paid for the registration will be preserved. So when a students academic year will be done, and if the cost for the subject and for the program will be higher than he/she is paying. Student will pay just difference.

Registration Terms

Duration of a Semester

• Autumn Semester 1/06 - Deadline - June 30
• Spring Semester 1/12 - Deadline - December 30
• Summer Semester 1/06 - Deadline – 30 May
• If a student fails to register for the academic year before the deadline (even if he/she is one day late), the student will be fined!

Tuition Fee and Procedures for Covering the Tuition Fee:

The amount of the tuition fee is determined by the administration for each academic year. This position is not true for the students who study at the university and who have signed a contract with it.

The minimum number of master’s degree courses to register for:

The minimum number of courses to register for in one semester is 3 (18 ECTs). A student may change his/her status and register as “Free Listener”.

Changing the number of courses registered for:

• Students have the right to change, add or reduce the courses taken only within 2 weeks from the beginning of the semester. In this case students must register the change of registration with the Master’s Program Manager and sign the Form of Registration Change, which equals entering changes into the Contract-Form. Changes in registration do not apply to payment deadline. On the first week of studies (after the first class in a course has been given), a student has the right to cancel the course;
• If a student has been registered for more than three courses (4,5,) he/she can have the sum paid for the cancelled course reallocated for the subsequent semester, or get the money back fully within one week, after changes have been entered into registration;
• If a student has registered for only three courses, he/she can change a course for any other program course offered in the semester (core or elective) upon agreement with the dean of the school or the head of the program. In the second week after the commencement of the semester (after the second class in a lecture has been delivered) a student has the right to cancel the course and reallocate the sum paid for the given course as a credit for the following semester;
• If the student decides to take and register for an additional course within two weeks after the commencement of the semester, he/she has to pay the tuition fee for the course(s) registered for within 5 banking days;

For a student, even the delay of one day in making the payment is fraught with fines: during the first 4 weeks, starting from the next day of the date when the payment was due, for each overdue week the student shall incur the sum 1%, which shall amount to 4% of his/her annual payment in 4 weeks (the annual tuition fee is the cost of registration stipulated in the contract). In case of non-payment of the registration fee (and fines) the student will be expelled from the University. Special cases are discussed by the administration of the University, which should be applied to with a personal statement.

Penalty sanction system is not working for the summer semester. That student who does not pay at the end of the 30th of May, his/her registration will cancel and he/she will not be allowed for the program.
