  23.10.2008 | Toma Chagelishvili’s "Russian Party"
On October 14, the School of Journalism and Mass-communications envied documentary filmmaker and journalist, Toma Chagelishvili, and his new film – ‘The Russian Party” was presented. Active discussions followed. It is noteworthy, that the abovementioned school systematically hosts the local celebrities, and such kind of meetings are very popular among the students.


  17.10.2008 | UG hosted the Association of the Private Universities of Georgia.
UG hosted the IV meeting with Association of the Private Schools of Georgia. The meeting was attended by 5 members of the association – the Rectors of the Universities. The main goal was to discuss the Covenant of the Association. This Association was founded in 2007 by the initiative of several private universities and the members are: the UG, the Black Sea International University, Caucasian University, Georgian-American University, and Tbilisi Independent University. The Association aims at enhancing collaboration between private universities of Georgia and mutually implementing democratic principles in the sphere of education.

  29.09.2008 | Patrick Warms – ‘The Specifics of Informational Combat in the Period of Russian-Georgian 5-day War’.
On September 24, the Forum of the School of Politics and International Relations, along with Club of Politics and International Relations held the meeting with Mr. Patrick Warms – the representative of the Aspect Consulting Co. The Company was hired by Georgian Government to facilitate Georgia’s outer reputation management and political communication.
