Vice rector for scientific research leads to the research process, carried on not just by professors and doctors but also bachelor and master students.

Vice rector for scientific research
Directs:

• University seminars and conferences;
• Scientific contacts with other universities;
• International scientific projects and grants;
• Activities, carried out by scientific grant committee of the University.

Affirms:

• List of manuals prepared by head of schools;
• List of university manuals to be published;
• Editorial staff of university academic journal: “Caucasus Journal of social science’’.
• Annual academic scientific theses of the University of Georgia.

Hears and receives:

• Annual reports of various schools and research centers of the University of Georgia. 

Appoints:

• The head of the scientific research department, with them leads seminars for masters and doctors and controls their researches.
