Registration for a one-year master's program


  1. Based on the results of the general master's exams, in order to obtain the right to study at the University of Georgia, a master's candidate is obliged to:
  • Pass the exam in English specified by the university;
  • Pass an interview according to the specialty.
  1. The registration period for Master's degree candidates for the exam determined by the university shall be determined from September 1 to September 10, 2025 inclusive. Registration shall be held from Monday to Friday, from 18:00 to 21:00 at the following address: Tbilisi, Kostava St. 77, IV Academic Building.
  2. A master's candidate is obliged to submit the following documents when registering for the exam specified by the university:
  • Receipt confirming payment of the exam fee (20 GEL);

Note: University of Georgia graduates are exempted from the language exam if they have completed the B2 level of English.

  • Exam-identification card and electronic version recorded on a CD in JPG format;
  • Copy of the identity document and electronic version recorded on a CD in JPG format;
  • Notarized copy of the bachelor's diploma and electronic version recorded on a CD in JPG format. (If the diploma has not yet been issued by the university, a certificate of degree award with a wet seal + electronic version recorded on a CD in JPG format must be submitted);
  • Copy of the document confirming military registration (in the case of boys) and electronic version recorded on a CD in JPG format;
  • 1 photo (3X4) and electronic version recorded on a CD in JPG format;
  • CV with a photo and a motivation letter (presented only at the interview)

It is desirable that all registration documents be recorded on one CD.

 

  1. The exam determined by the university will be held on September 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the address: Tbilisi, Kostava St. 77a, IV Educational Building, Room #-407.
  2. The interview determined by the university will be held on September 15, 16 and 17, 2025, at the address: Tbilisi, Kostava St. 77a, IV Educational Building.
  • School of Social Sciences: Room N 707; (IV Building);
  • School of Law: Room N427 (IV Building);
  • School of Business and Administrative Sciences - Auditorium N327
  • School of Science and Technology: Room N202 (IV Building);
  • School of Arts and Humanities: Room N606 (IV Building);
  • Master's Program in Georgian History - Interview in Room N524 (Building IV);
  1. A Bachelor's degree in psychology is a prerequisite for enrollment in two areas of applied psychology - the concentration in child and adolescent psychology and the concentration in clinical psychology.
  2. A Bachelor of Laws degree is a prerequisite for admission to the Master of Laws (Georgian) and International Business Law programs.
  3. For the following programs: a) Law, b) International Business Law, in addition to the foreign language exam, an exam in the specialty (oral) will be held. In addition, the specialty exam for the International Business Law program will be held in English.
  4. The mandatory English language proficiency for the International Business Law program is determined by the B2 level, which can be met, alternatively: a) by an internal exam, if the threshold of at least 70% is exceeded; or b) by submitting a document confirming the successful passing of internationally recognized language exams (IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge English Qualifications) (the corresponding score for the B2 level of English is IELTS - 5.5-6.5; TOEFL iBT 72-94, Cambridge English Qualifications -160- 179); or c) on the basis of a document confirming studies in English at the undergraduate level.
  5. The above-mentioned number of Master's degree candidates for the Master's degree programs in Law may receive funding:

a) Master's degree program in Law (Georgian) - 3 places;

b) Master's degree program in International Business Law (English) - 10 places.

The tuition fee will be fully funded for those students who have taken one of the English language exam certificates in 2022 - 2025, with the specified scores:

✅ TOEFL - 85 points and above;

✅ IELTS - 6 points and above;

✅ Cambridge English Exam - 170 points and above.

The university will fully cover the difference in tuition fees for students who receive a grant for the Unified Master's degree exam (even in the absence of a language certificate).

If one or both of the conditions are met, and there is a competition for grant places, preference will be given to the student who obtained a grant in the Unified Master's Examination. In case of equal results, the decision will be made in favor of the candidate with the better result during the interview in the specialty.

  1. Prerequisites for admission to the Master's Program in History of Georgia:

a) The internal university exam consists of an English language proficiency test (written) and an exam in the specialty - History of Georgia (oral). The approximate topics of the exams are posted on the website.

b) The applicant will be exempted from the English language exam if he/she presents an internationally recognized certificate or diploma/supplement/certificate of completion of the Bachelor's program, which confirms the knowledge of the English language at the B2 level.

c) The applicant will be exempted from the exam in History of Georgia (oral) if he/she is a graduate of the Bachelor's Program in History of the University of Georgia, who has completed a Bachelor's thesis.

d) All other applicants must present some work (bachelor's thesis, published article, etc.) proving their research competence during the oral exam, which will be the focus of the interview.

  1. In case of dissatisfaction with the exam results determined by the university, the master's degree candidate is entitled to submit a claim no later than 3 calendar days after the exam results are published on the university's official website.
  2. A master's degree candidate who has obtained the right to study at the University of Georgia must submit, in order to undergo administrative registration, from September 17, 2025 inclusive, the following:

a) a document confirming payment of the tuition fee in the amount that exceeds the state educational grant obtained.

  1. The academic registration period shall be set as September 17-25, 2025.
