The University of Georgia was established two decades ago with a clear belief: that it was possible to build a university in Georgia where education would be grounded in knowledge, opportunity, hard work, and professional freedom.
Today, that idea has become a reality. The University of Georgia is evolving as a research-, innovation-, and knowledge-driven university, where education and research are inseparable.
Our ambition is not limited to preparing successful professionals. We aim to create an environment where students ask their own questions, seek new answers, develop ideas, and have the opportunity to shape their own future and make a meaningful impact on society.
We envision the UG of the future as an intellectual and innovation hub where science, technology, education, and industry come together, and where knowledge is transformed into real-world impact.
Our responsibility is not only to teach, but to create opportunities; not only to conduct research, but to discover; not only to imagine the future, but to create it ourselves.
