On April 28 at 5:00PM, the Security, Policy and Nationalism Research Center (UGSPN) of University of Georgia invites you to a public discussion on the topic:

“Global Practices of Banning Political Parties: Protecting Democracy or Undermining Its Foundations?”

Within the discussion, the following issues will be addressed:

  • International practices of banning political parties and their political and legal foundations;
  • The balance between protecting democracy and maintaining political pluralism;
  • Assessments related to Georgia, including recommendations issued within the framework of the “Moscow Mechanism.”
