The UG Law Clinic is a legal aid and clinical education center focusing primarily on constitutional justice and human rights protection.
Services Offered The clinic provides free legal services to individuals and legal entities on constitutional law matters, including:
Court Monitoring In collaboration with the Columbia University Human Rights Institute, the clinic conducts court monitoring and evaluation based on a specially developed methodology. Students observe proceedings, analyze them according to international human rights and fair trial standards, and contribute to evaluations and reports.
Student Practice Clinical practice is a mandatory component of the Master of Laws (LL.M.) curriculum at the University of Georgia. Under the supervision of the clinic head, students work on real cases with actual clients, provide legal counsel, draft constitutional lawsuits and amicus curiae opinions, and represent clients in court, connecting theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
