On October 11–12, 2024, the University of Georgia hosted the annual conference "Georgian-German Legal Dialogue - Criminal Law and Human Rights."
As part of a joint project between the Law School at the University of Georgia, the Institute of Georgian, German, International, and European Criminal Law, the University of Cologne, and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom South Caucasus, the conference "Georgian-German Legal Dialogue - Criminal Law and Human Rights" took place on October 11–12, 2024, with experts participating from Georgia, Germany, and Hungary.
The presentations addressed various topical issues, including competition law from a criminal law perspective, elements of corruption, the presumption of innocence, discretion in bringing charges, and more.
Among the speakers were professors as well as prosecutors and a judge.
