The presented research examines the evolution of local governance in Europe and Georgia, analyzes existing challenges, and outlines ways for their improvement.
The study is based on normative, comparative-legal, and analytical approaches, including an analysis of the European Charter and the judicial practice of the Federal Republic of Germany, aiming to support the enhancement of the local self-government system in Georgia.
