The results of the 2025 grant competition for the joint "Rustaveli-DAAD" fellowship program of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) have been announced.
As part of this competition, funding was awarded to the project by Professor Bachana Jishkariani, Head of the Institute and Professor at the University of Georgia School of Law, on the topic: "Image, Video, and Audio Manipulation via Artificial Intelligence (Deep Fakes) and Criminal Law".
Under this project, research will be conducted this summer at the Institute of Criminal Law at the University of Cologne. The research results will later be reflected in relevant publications, which will also be made available to Georgian readers.
