In June and July, the Human Rights Center of the Law School at the University of Georgia hosted a series of training sessions for academic staff.
The aim of the trainings was to share experiences regarding modern challenges and trends in human rights law. Professors and invited lecturers from accredited higher education institutions in Georgia had the opportunity to participate.
The trainings covered the following topics: freedom of association, personal data protection, freedom of expression, key issues in gender, and the right to equality.
The sessions were led by field experts and prominent human rights defenders: Giorgi Burjanadze, Londa Toloraia, Eka Skhiladze, and Sopho Benashvili.
The trainings were conducted within the framework of the project "Improving Human Rights Education at the University of Georgia," implemented by the Human Rights Center of the Law School at the University of Georgia with the support of the USAID Rule of Law Program.
