Gela Javakhishvili — Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor. In 1986, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Agricultural Electrification of the Georgian Agricultural Institute, receiving the qualification of Electrical Engineer. In 1995, he defended his Candidate of Technical Sciences dissertation entitled “Reciprocating Electromagnetic Drive for the Transportation of Root Crops,” and in 2006, his Doctor of Technical Sciences dissertation entitled “Improvement of the Energy and Dynamic Performance of a Reciprocating Electromagnetic Drive.” Since 1993, he has been engaged in teaching and scientific research. At different times, he served as an Assistant, Associate Professor, and Professor at the Georgian State Agrarian University. He also served as Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Electrification and Automation, Deputy Rector, and Rector of the University. From 2010 to 2015, he worked as a Consultant in Higher Education and Science at the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. Since 2018-2022, he has been a Professor at the Georgian Technical University, and since 2022, a Professor at the School of Science and Technology of the University of Georgia. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, a monograph, inventor’s certificates, and patents. His main research interests include electromechanics, electromagnetic drives and vibration technology, reciprocating and angular-oscillatory electromagnetic systems, single-stroke and two-stroke electromagnetic vibratory motors, electromagnetic and mechanical resonance, and the application of vibration technologies in agriculture.
