According to the 2026 Georgian National H-index Ranking (NHR), Prof. Reza Ansari and Prof. Saeid Sahmani of the University of Georgia have been ranked among the top 1% of the 1,000 Georgian scientists included in the ranking. Prof. Reza Ansari ranked 10th, while Prof. Saeid Sahmani ranked 14th.
The ranking provides a comparative measure of researchers’ scientific impact based on the H-index, a commonly used indicator of scholarly productivity and citation impact. Being ranked among the top 1% of the 1,000 scientists included in the 2026 list places both University of Georgia professors within the highest-ranked group of researchers represented in the ranking.
