The purpose of the program!

The program aims to provide graduate students with profound knowledge of the field of security and security policy implementation in international context. Additionally, the program allows students to grasp the defence and military affairs as the fundamental element of security policy, its organizational aspects as well as effectiveness in the context of state/national policies.



 The program is focused on following topics:

  • Formation of defence policy.
  • Types of war and military conflicts.
  • Importance of military industry and resource management in defence and security.
  • interdependence between security, foreign and defence policies.

Possible areas of employment:

  • Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces.
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government Office(s).
  • Legislative institutions (incl. Parliament and Committees).
  • State Security Service.
  • The Ministry of Internal Affairs.
  • Intelligence Service
  • International organizations
  • NGOs, analytical centers and think tanks

Additional information

International applicants must submit English B2 equivalent certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English Exam) or pass the university exam.

Georgian applicants must:

  • successfully pass the Unified Post-Graduate Exam;
  • submit English B2 equivalent certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge English Exam) or pass the university exam;
  • successfully pass interview in area of specialization;

The tuition fee for the master's program is 4000 USD.
