The project is implemented in partnership with the National Bank of Georgia’s educational platform FinEdu, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth.
The main theme of this year’s competition is FinTech (Financial Education). Students will have the opportunity to develop innovative and technology-driven solutions to real-world financial challenges.
What challenges will participants work on?
- Integration of Financial Services:Integrating new financial technologies with existing systems can be challenging, while users often find it difficult to choose the most suitable option from a wide range of financial services.
- Long-Term Financial Planning:Long-term financial decisions, such as investments and retirement savings, are often perceived as complicated processes, resulting in low engagement.
- Financial Security:Due to limited awareness and inattentive behavior, users often fall victim to financial fraud and cybercriminals.
- Everyday Finances:People often struggle to manage their daily expenses effectively, create budgets, and build savings for specific goals.
- Small Business Cash Flow:Small businesses lack simple tools for forecasting and analyzing cash flow, which can lead to unexpected financial difficulties.
Why should you participate?
- The winning student team will travel to the global technology conference Web Summit.
- A GEL 20,000 grant, the University Will Be Awarded for Establishing an Entrepreneurship Hub.
Who can participate?
- The competition is open to undergraduate and master’s students aged 17 and above from any faculty. Registration is available only in teams.
- Following the internal university competition, one winning team will represent our university in the final (2–4 students + 1 mentor).
Competition Schedule:
- Information sessions & workshops at the university
- Online sessions on refining ideas and preparing a Pitch Deck
- October 26–30:Intensive training sessions in AI/ML, Software Development, and Entrepreneurship, along with mentorship and prototyping at FabLab
- November 2:Demo Day at Tbilisi Tech Park
