On September 23 at 5:00 PM, the University of Georgia, in partnership with New Economic School – Georgia, will host a public discussion titled “Reasoning about Being Civilized.”
The event will explore the origins and contemporary significance of the ideas and values that have shaped civilization, with a particular focus on the intellectual foundations of Western civilization, freedom, individualism, human rights, ideology, foreign policy, and the challenges facing the Middle East.
The discussion will feature two thematic panels:
“Western Civilization: Origins, Ideas, and Challenges”
Speakers:
“Foreign Policy and the Middle East”
Speakers: Yaron Brook and Paata Sheshelidze, economist and President of New Economic School – Georgia.
Both panels will include a Q&A session, giving attendees an opportunity to engage with the speakers. The event will be held in English. Attendance is free.
