UGSPN - President Trump's Foreign Policy and Its Impact on the South Caucasus

The University of Georgia Center for Security, Policy and Nationalism Research (UGSPN) invites you to a public discussion on:"President Trump's Foreign Policy and Its Impact on the South Caucasus"

The discussion will focus on how the foreign policy priorities of the Trump administration are reshaping the political, security, and economic dynamics of the South Caucasus. Particular attention will be paid to the growing role of the United States in the region, including Washington's engagement in the Armenia–Azerbaijan normalization process, the strategic significance of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative, and the broader implications of these developments for Georgia's strategic environment.

The discussion will cover:

  • The main principles and priorities of President Trump's foreign policy and their significance for the South Caucasus;
  • The expanding role of the United States in regional security, connectivity, and conflict resolution;
  • The challenges and opportunities facing Georgia, including in the context of the regional security environment, Euro-Atlantic aspirations, and transit potential.
