From June 18 to 20, the University of Georgia (UG) hosted the International Conference on Informatics and Computer Science – ICICS 2026, which brought together scientists, researchers, academics, and industry representatives from various countries around the world.
The conference aimed to discuss the latest achievements, innovations, challenges, and development trends in the fields of modern computer science, informatics, and interdisciplinary research. ICICS 2026 served as an international platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience, the establishment of new collaborations, and the promotion of scientific progress in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and computational sciences.
As part of the conference, a special symposium for doctoral students was organized, where young researchers presented their scientific papers and had the opportunity to engage in professional discussions with leading experts in the field.
At ICICS 2026, researchers, academic staff, and practitioners presented original research papers, case studies, and review articles covering both theoretical foundations and innovative methodologies, as well as examples of their practical applications.
It is noteworthy that the accepted and peer-reviewed papers presented at the conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings issued by the University of Georgia Press and will be assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).
In addition, high-quality papers presented at ICICS 2026 were selected for further publication in the international scientific journal Computational Mathematics and Modeling (Springer Nature). Authors were given the opportunity to submit extended versions of their papers to the journal following the conference.
The published papers will be indexed in international scientific databases, including Scopus, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate, significantly increasing the international visibility and academic impact of the research.
ICICS 2026 once again highlights the University of Georgia’s commitment to promoting international scientific collaboration, fostering innovation, and advancing cutting-edge technological research both in Georgia and beyond.
