In October 2022, the University of Georgia Law School became a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
The International Bar Association (IBA) is the world's leading organization of international legal practitioners, bar associations, and law societies. Based in the UK and established in 1947, its primary goal is to contribute to global stability through the promotion of effective administration of justice and the exchange of professional knowledge. Today, the IBA brings together around 80,000 legal practitioners and nearly 160 bar associations across 170 countries.
The involvement of the university community and law school memberships in the IBA is a relatively recent development, in which the University of Georgia Law School is one of the pioneers in our region.
Students of the University of Georgia Law School will benefit from unlimited access to the IBA's unique academic and practical materials. Additionally, they will have access to various training modules, participate in IBA international student conferences, and be eligible to request funding or co-funding from the association.
