The Institute of Georgian, German, and International Criminal Law at the Law School of the University of Georgia has launched an unprecedented international project: the International Cold Case Project. International students from various countries participating in the project will work together on real unsolved criminal cases (disappearances, homicides) from a police department in one of Germany's regions.
Students will have access to the original criminal case files (subject to non-disclosure agreements) translated into English. The project is coordinated by a lecturer from a German police academy, with whom student team members will meet biweekly to develop ideas regarding the cold cases.
The project is fully funded for selected students.
