On April 19–20 of this year, a criminal law dialogue on economic crimes was held at Eskisehir Osmangazi University in Turkey. Professors from the universities of Istanbul, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Eskişehir, Isparta, Ankara, Viadrina, and Halle-Wittenberg participated in the event.
We are particularly pleased that our Institute was a co-initiator and co-organizer of this project. It was implemented through the collaboration of Professors Semi Yumak (Osmangazi University), Martin Wassmer (University of Cologne), and Bachana Jishkariani (University of Georgia).
This dialogue is the first outcome of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023 between the University of Georgia and Osmangazi University, in the execution of which the Law School of the University of Georgia is actively involved.
Regional cooperation with neighboring countries is very important for our Institute, as it fosters the mutual sharing of experience. Accordingly, the continuation of this dialogue has already been planned.
