On December 15–16, 2022, a scientific conference titled "20 Years of the Constitutional Agreement" was organized by the Freedom of Religion Institute of the University of Georgia.
The partners of the conference were Ilia State University and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.
The purpose of the conference was to share existing research experience and encourage new studies within various academic disciplines regarding the Constitutional Agreement between the State of Georgia and the Autocephalous Orthodox Apostolic Church of Georgia, as well as the constitutional recognition of the special role of the Orthodox Church in Georgia's history.
The scientific areas of the conference included: Law, Theology, Religious Studies, History, Social Sciences, and Political Science.
