On March 3, 2026, a student scientific conference on labor law was held at the University of Georgia. The event was conducted within the framework of cooperation among BMO, BAUVERBÄNDE NRW e. V., and "Business Georgia."
At the beginning of the event, participants learned about German experience in the field of occupational safety and labor law.
In the second part of the event, students and alumni of the Law Program at the University of Georgia presented research prepared on current issues in labor law.
Following the student presentations, the following topics were discussed in a round-table format:
The arbitrability of labor disputes and alternative mechanisms
The line between forms of liability
Criteria for the severity of violations
Challenges of labor relations in the context of remote work and artificial intelligence
Management of working time and adherence to principles of equality
During the discussion, attention was also paid to legal assessments of occupational safety violations, including cases where a violation might escalate into criminal liability.
After the presentations concluded, a special committee identified the best research papers.
