In June 2026, the University of Georgia hosted Tejal Jesrani, Project Director of TrialWatch at Columbia Law School's Human Rights Institute, and Marianne da Silva, Legal Researcher for TrialWatch.
The visit was carried out as part of the TrialWatch program, based on the exclusive cooperation between the Law School of the University of Georgia and the Human Rights Institute of Columbia Law School.
During the visit, Tejal Jesrani and Marianne da Silva conducted intensive training sessions for law students. Participants became familiar with the fundamental principles of trial monitoring, international standards, and practical methodology.
This exclusive collaboration allows our students to bridge academic knowledge with practical human rights advocacy and become part of an international network dedicated to promoting justice and protecting the right to a fair trial.
